Speak to me...
Singaporeans Love Our Country?

This photo was taken on the first day of November this year after our beloved Singapore birthday on 9th of August. I've done the calculation and it was almost 3 months after National Day! This particular family must love Singapore very much.

Other than this case, I wonder how Singaporean treat our country? In the season of National Day where start from 1month before 9th of August and end the most later 1 month after, we could hardly see flags flying outside our blocks other than those family whom are inform by they respective RC member would hung out the nation flag. This mean Singaporeans are too busy even too hang that little flag that not even heavier than TV remote control or we don't even respect our Country?

In the just ended US presidential election, I saw in the news in every scene where the electees were having their speech, all I could see was US flags flooding my TV screen with their great passion toward their country or maybe the electees, they were cheering and shouting for they Country and for their future president, like a 'Singer-Fans Relationship' but to Singapore, it will never be the same scenario. Singaporeans mind are so selfish, all our favour past time is to talk about how bad our government is treating us, how they plot those iniquitous ERPs along our roads, how taxes have been rise but will Singaporeans praise our government? So far in my 21 years of life, never!

Well, I'm not a supporter of the government or the PAP but I'm not a crowd follower as well. Reason behind the government action is truly hard to figure but with my common sense and some knowledge of other countries, I think Singapore has been quite a fair leader. From our favourite topic, the ERP to GST. It can be reasonably explained although I dislike those action they made, I see why they need to act and of cause there is also unexplainable action which they may have their own excuse too.

After all, how many of us will treat Singapore as they beloved country? For me as a citizen of Singapore I am proud, do you?
