Blog Entries #101, Hiking, Bt Timah to MacRitchie

Photobucket
One fine Sunday morning I woke up early at 9:30am desprite my usual Sunday routine and get myself ready for a unusual event. I'd start my day with this lovely chocolate cake Mag gave me the night before. Although it was kind of leftover which she cannot finish that night but without this energy giving cake I won't survive the day. So thank you so much, Mag. The cake was really nice but dry and hard to swallow and eventually I have to drink alot of water to get it down my throat.

The plan of this event was to hike from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve to MacRitchie Reservoir where we meet before hand to parked my vehicle and from there I will drive them back to their vehicle parked in Bukit Timah.

I had shot alot of photos along the way. I have to spend a whole day processing it with the final products just below these texts.

From left the right: Me, Johnson,, Johnson's girlfriend, Eileen, Johnson's friend, Gabrald (sorry if i spell it wrongly)

Our plan was suppose to have 2 more person in this photo but they were flying kite somewhere. 1 of it is Johnson's friend and the other one is mine. I shell not mention her name but I have to thanks her for more beard I need to swallow.

As you can see from the photo, we are at the starting of a 10.9km to MacRitchie but the humility in the forest already made us sweat like in a hot oven! We'd took the photo and left hasty.

The 1st photo here is a bunch of young banana followed by what commonly called by those folks 'banana flowers' but not the actual banana flower though.

The worn out wall at the right side of this photo was probably a toilet in the WWII.

Well after enjoying the break, I was smart enough to bring everyone to a 'shortcut' which wasn't the right way. Sorry guys, but walking is good!
We saw this boy walked with his parent without his shirt on. When he was told by his father to wear back the shirt he asked his father with some china assent, 'will I be shot to death for being naked?'. It gave us a dose of luaghter into our tired mind.

And after the wrong way, I reached our next destination.

After all, We end the hike at 5:30pm. Tried and shacked! We went for dinner at Bukit Timah Hawker Centre to celebrate our achievement and we ate grill Stringray, la la, prawn and Kai Lan and went home right after dinner.
