It was one fine day as I was working happily, Me and Timothy was doing our visit to the bank and Tan Chong Motor for renewal of road tax in the afternoon as usual. While heading back, something undesirable happen. It was my first time handling it...
While driving along Bukit Timah Road back to out office located in Turf City, at the entrance of a newly built condo, called Garden Vista is where the incident happened.
I was following behind a blue Comfort taxi and right after I notice his intention to turn left in to Garden Vista, I made my alteration and tried to over take him by the normal over taking procedure (by changing to the next right lane and back). In a spit of a second, this taxi suddenly swerve to its right and before I notice, a loud bang follow by me trying to control my steering wheel by turning left and right speedily to keep my van in lane. *Woot, so that is how an accident feels like!* That was what I thought in that critical moment. haha, i'm strange right? After I gain control of my van next would be to negotiate with that 'blur cock'. I parked my van at the road side, I get out of my van and expecting him to get out and speak to me. But the thing is, I only saw his customer getting out of the taxi and him staying in there! *WTH, aren't you getting out to talk? comon, lets quarrel!*
He was comfortably sitting in his taxi as though nothing had happen. *Not coming out? then I will go over! its OK.* so I walked over and the first thing I told him was, if I remember, "hey, how can you turn right like that!!" I shouted at him. For the fun of it! haha, What I really want was compensation!
So i tried talk to him, and what he told be get my alertness to zenith! He said "can we pay for our own damage?". "hey, you hit me, and now I am going to pay for my own damage?" As it just make not sense, I scolded him back.
Well, we talked and talked. Fighting for our own right. looking at the damages
Eventually he agree to pay and wanted us to send our van to a workshop he knows. Yeah! successful negotiation. Deal now my van is repaired and as good as new. Even with a nice polish! Thank you Mr. Taxi Driver!
That indeed was a very good experience. As I jokingly told Timothy, "I had enjoyed the accident". Well, pretty much. So who will be my next challenger? Will it be you?...
